Interior Designer: Kristen Elizabeth Design
It makes me so happy to see how all the wonderfully talented interior designers use my designs in their unique way and with such unexpected combinations. I will be profiling some of the designers who have used my products so beautifully in a series of blog posts on here to celebrate their work and to provide inspiration to customers about to embark on decorating their homes.
Third in this series is Kristen Elizabeth Design, based in Sacramento in California. “I have always had a love for design, especially interiors but somehow I missed the memo that you could make a living out of it and instead pursued a career in special events and fundraising in NYC's Central Park and San Francisco”, says Kristen. After having children and studying Interior Architecture and Design at UC Berkeley , she launched Kristen Elizabeth Design in 2015.

Describing her style as “a blend of quiet minimalism, woven with thoughtful drops of fun, eclectic, and original visuals. I feel like a home should reflect it's inhabitants to the highest degree possible, filling it with items that bring joy, inspire creativity”. It is Kristen’s overriding intention that every space should, “instil peace and harmony and create an immediate feeling of love when you step through the door”.
She has designed a beautiful interior for a modern home by architect Lee Skolnick in Sag Harbour, New York. This wonderfully spacious hallway with Brambleweb wallpaper is on the ground floor, people enter the building here before making their way upstairs to the main living area of the house.

“When I found Brambleweb wall covering, I knew it was the perfect choice, it is bright but edgy- the pattern is tight enough to create unity, but upon closer inspection, exposes thorns and tangled, twisted vines. It is a little bit punk, I loved it. The paper sits squarely behind the main entry hall that features a Blue Stone Wall running through it. The greys and blues compliment each other and the blend of textures give the user an experience of working your way up and out from the earth, breaking free to the wide open space above.”

Kristen has used Storm Clouds blue sky wallpaper in one of the bedrooms in the same house. “Both the owner and I were immediately drawn to it. Again, it has an edge. To me, it says I am unique and not afraid to show it. I am bold and proud of it- it says live a little and have fun in the unexpected. Life just does not have to be so serious,” she says.
