New Design: Lichen

I am very excited to introduce you to my new wallpaper design ‘Lichen’…

Lichen is so often uncelebrated and unnoticed.

It doesn’t have beautiful bright flowers, it isn’t glamorous or exotic, but the intricate structures and endless shades of dusty grey green in this group of organisms are so delicately beautiful. Despite their apparent fragility they can survive for hundreds of years and will only grow where the air is pure. So if you spot some on a gnarly tree or a hidden rock, you can be reassured that you are breathing clean air.

‘Lichen’ wallpaper is available in two colour ways.

 ‘Lichen’ in Seaweed shows the subtle green grey tints of lichen, a combination of versatile soothing tones initially painted in gouache and worked into with pen.

And ‘Lichen’ in Dust resembles an ink wash, and shows the gentle resilience of the leafy pads.

As with all my designs, Lichen wallpaper is made in the UK at one of the few remaining family run wallpaper printers using environmentally safe water based inks and printed on FSC certified, responsibly sourced, non woven bases.
