The repeat surges of approval that the arts and crafts movement has experienced since its inception in Britain in 1880 show that the stylised reinterpretations of natural forms will always have a place in our homes. The original arts and crafts movement was inspired by a rejection of industrialisation and shared values of craftsmanship, with a belief that a well-designed domestic interior could improve the quality of everyday life. Values that are as relevant today.
