The last few hazy weeks of summer are here and I am hanging on to every moment. I am lucky that since moving to the countryside I now have a garden, but my apartment in London didn’t and I really wanted one. I would religiously water my window boxes and look after my houseplants. I did this against a background of walls papered with natural imagery. This made me feel like I was surrounded by nature, despite living on a busy road with the hum of double decker buses rumbling past rather than the gentle sound of the wind in the trees.
